We make sure the atmosphere is fun, relaxed, engaging, and chock-full of culinary information because those are the personality traits of our chef-instructors (Jennifer, John, Erica, Susan, and Al).
- BOOK YOUR EVENT: Jennifer will send you a digital invoice to book the date and time of your event; a 50% deposit is required to finalize your event on our schedule. The final balance is due 1 week before.
-
CHOOSE A MENU: Browse our options here: Party Menus. Please let us know ahead of time if there are any dietary restrictions, so we can make accommodations. Our events run about 3 hours and include a hands-on cooking class and a full sit-down meal; the timing breakdown is about half and half, cooking vs. eating.
-
BYOB: Classes are BYOB and you can have wine delivered to our space the evening before (preferred) or bring it with you. If sending ahead, we highly recommend working with Bottle Rocket Wine, a local wine shop.
- FINAL HEADCOUNT: This is due 1 week before your event.
- FLOW OF EVENT: Once everyone is ready to start cooking — usually 15 minutes after you arrive and everyone has helped themselves to a drink and said hello — we’ll gather everyone for an informal discussion about the menu we’ll be preparing, so everyone knows what to expect. The classes are geared to be hands-on, but we know that some people will want to be in on the action, while others will prefer to mingle and watch. Both scenarios work for us.
- HORS D’OEUVRES: We’ll start by preparing an hors d’oeuvre recipe and pass it around to the group during the class to snack on, assuring that no one is distracted by an empty stomach during the cooking class.
- SIT-DOWN MEAL: Once the food is ready to eat, we will set up a buffet. The dining room will be set and ready for you to sit down and enjoy your meal. We’ll serve you dessert after we clear your dinner dishes.
- RECIPES will be emailed to the host after the event, to share with guests.
