HCNY Founder + Chef-Instructor Jennifer Clair will be hosting this inaugural trip to Oaxaca, Mexico along with a local, bilingual guide, who will be in charge of getting us where we need to be each day.
HCNY curated this culinary trip with Vacationeeze (a lauded travel company with 30+ years experience) to ensure the experience feels like an extension of the HCNY teaching experience and runs seamlessly.
DATES: Sunday, October 3, 2027 – Saturday, October 9, 2027
PRICING:
- $3910 per person (double room) or $4355 per person (single room).
- Pay a $100 deposit by December 1st and save $200 (early-bird special!).
This trip includes (but is not limited to):
- 6 nights at a stunning casita in the heart of Oaxaca City, including a full Mexican breakfast each morning
- 3 cooking classes with different Indigenous Oaxacan home cooks
- a trip to a working farm to make fresh masa tortillas from scratch (from corn kernel to tortilla)
- food market tour with a chef and a mole tasting
- making your own chocolate bar from scratch (bean to bar!) so you can truly appreciate this ingredient
- trip to ancient ruins to fully understand the historical significance of this region
- a visit to the area’s most skilled weavers, to watch how their vibrant textiles are dyed and made
