MEET JENNIFER CLAIR
Jennifer Clair is the founder of Home Cooking New York, a recreational cooking school in New York City.
Before launching the school in 2002, she was a Recipe Editor for The Wall Street Journal and a Food Editor at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she developed cookbooks and managed the Cooking & Entertaining department of marthastewart.com.
She holds a culinary degree from Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School (1998; recipient of a full James Beard Foundation scholarship) and a BA in Intellectual History (1994) from the University of Pennsylvania.
Jennifer is the author of Six Basic Cooking Techniques: Culinary Essentials for the Home Cook (2018), co-author of Gourmet Cooking on a Budget (2008), and the host of the former cooking podcast, Kitchen Radio.

RECIPE DEVELOPMENT
Jennifer has been working as a recipe developer and recipe editor for 25+ years, honing her skills as a Food Editor at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and as Recipe Editor at The Wall Street Journal. She is the author of two cookbooks, and has developed recipes and culinary curriculum for 100+ culinary classes at her cooking school in New York City.
Jennifer has also published her recipes + writings online at Food52, Yummly, and The Kitchn.
