Cooking Parties

THE DETAILSpesto-roasted portobello mushrooms for crostini

We run fully hands-on cooking parties and pride ourselves on teaching students how to cook from start to finish; nary an onion is peeled for you before we begin. A better sense of satisfaction and greater learning (and fun!) comes from creating a meal in its entirety.

Our cooking parties provide an interactive and fun activity for celebrating birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and is an ideal way for business colleagues to bond outside of work.

Here is exactly what to expect.

WHERE IS THE PARTY HELD?

You are welcome to host your class:

  1. at our SoHo cooking school at 158 Grand Street #206 (up to 16 people, photos here), or
  2. in your own kitchen, or
  3. in a large rented kitchen (for groups up to 36 people). Take a peak at photos and pricing for renting this fully-equipped kitchen/dining room space on Mulberry Street.

“IS MY KITCHEN BIG ENOUGH?”

As long as you can put a cutting board down (in the kitchen or on the dining room table) as many times as there are guests, you can comfortably host a cooking party in your home kitchen.

HOW FAR WE TRAVEL

We are happy to come to any home kitchen in the New York City area (Brooklyn and Queens included). Sometimes we can also travel beyond the boroughs. Traveling fees start at $60/hour round-trip from Manhattan plus transportation costs (bus, train, or tolls).

The sky’s the limit! Creativity and suggestions are encouraged, although we have plenty of ideas if you need inspiration (see our party menus). Each student receives a detailed recipe booklet at the beginning of the event or an emailed packet will be sent to the host.
